What is Biblical Salvation?

Contrary to what you have been hearing, taught, and believed about what salvation is, there is only One truth about what God teaches about salvation of man’s salvation, and that is the goal of this booklet.

There are so many views today about salvation. So many denominations have invented their own way to Heaven, but there is only God’s way to Heaven.
Let me share with you some things churches, and individuals teach and believe about salvation.
Many believe that salvation is when you stop committing “big sins”.
Many believe that salvation is when you go to church every Sunday.
Many believe that salvation is when you cry every Sunday your pastor preaches, and then you go to the altar to pray.
Many believe that salvation is when you give up sins, and you give “your life” to Christ.
Many believe that salvation is when you get Baptized in water
Many believe that salvation is when you are given a position in the church like Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader, Choir, Usher, Pastors, Evangelist, and many other titles in the church.

Those are wrong notions about Biblical salvation. Biblical salvation is not any of the things that I mentioned above. Many simple people have been deceived that Biblical salvation has to do with outward, but you need to understand that it does not deal with outward but inward. After the inward is changed by the Lord, then it shows on the outward.

Jonah 2:9, “It says, Salvation is of the Lord”.
Therefore, we can conclude according to the Scripture that Biblical salvation is not by the works that we do, but salvation is of the Lord.

Right View of Biblical Salvation

1. Biblical Salvation is Free.

Romans 6:23b
Ephesians 2:8-9
Salvation is a free gift from God, and it is by grace alone we can receive this gift. It does not mean that it is cheap; it costs Christ Jesus his precious life to obtain this eternal salvation for us.
When a person gives you a gift, it is free to you; but to that giver, it costs him something to get you that gift. The same with the price that Christ paid for man’s sin.
“All have sinned and come short of the glory of God”.
Romans 3:23, Romans 3:9, Romans 5:12

“For the wages of sin is death”- Romans 6:23a
Wage is what we deserve, and then if you want to get what you deserve from God, you will be sent to Hell fire for all of eternity for the wages of your sin.

“Christ paid the price for us”
Romans 5:8, 2 Corinthians 5:21

That is why it is either Christ paid for all of it, or he didn’t pay at all. Biblical salvation is not 50/50. No, because that would destroy God’s plan of salvation right from the foundation of the world.

Titus 1:2

Therefore, Biblical salvation is free from God himself to humanity. Romans 11:6

2. Biblical Salvation is the Forgiveness of Sin
Ephesians 1:7, Colossians 1:14
Acts 10:43, Acts 13:38-39
It is not only free, but there is forgiveness of sin that accompany Biblical salvation.

Don’t forget that the reason why we can’t go to Heaven is because of sin, and it will be useless if the forgiveness of sins is not included in the Biblical salvation.

To what extent did he forgive us?
The past has been perfect, the present is purpose, and the future is paradise.
“He remembers them no more”- Hebrews 8:12, 10:17, Psalm 85:2, 1 John 2:12, and Colossians 2:13.

This is the reason why we are justified in the sight of God. Just as if we have never sin. Christ made this possible. I can’t even do anything with my sins. They are too burdensome for me, and then Christ bore them upon himself, and when I accept him as my Savior, he cleanses me with his blood, and then I am made Holy before God in Heaven. So then I have the privilege to enter Heaven with the righteousness of Christ imputed on me.

3. Biblical Salvation is Forever
I think this is where many people will be splitting from me now. Come to think of it, if it is free, and then Christ forgave us of our sins(past, present, and the future), don’t you think it is forever.

Let’s hear what Christ says about it.
John 3:15,16,18, and 36.
Salvation from the Lord is eternal, everlasting, and does not have an end.
Eternal does not begin when you die; it begins the moment you receive Christ as your Savior. It is forever because it was given the moment a person receives Christ.
1 John 5:11-13
When you receive the gift of eternal life that Christ offers to all mankind, it does not have an expiration date as many people think. It is forever as Jesus said.

John 14:16-17
The Holy Spirit is our seal until the day of redemption. He provides us with the security that we are going to get to our final destination. It shows that we belong to God.

Ephesians 1:13-14, I Corinthians 6:19-20
Romans 8:16

4. Biblical Salvation is a Freedom
John 8:34, 36
Freedom from the bondage of the Law, and freedom to serve the Lord. We are free in Christ. There is no freedom in keeping the law, law accuses, and puts people to death.

Total freedom is found in Christ, and not in the things that we do in the house of God. We are free from the condemnation of sins, free from the contaminate of sin because of the divine nature of Christ within us.

Even though we are still in the body of this flesh, we struggle with flesh on a daily basis, but believers are always victorious in Christ Jesus.

Do you want freedom? Christ gives you freedom that you cannot obtain on your own. He sets free. Don’t you want to be free from this bondage of sin. There is power in the blood of Jesus Christ.

5. Biblical Salvation is by Faith Alone in Christ Alone.
All you have to do is by receiving this gift of salvation by faith alone. Romans 9:31-32
Ephesians 2:8-9
I praised the Lord that salvation is from God himself, and it can only be received by faith in Christ Jesus. It is not of works lest any man should.

Acts 16:30-31
Romans 10:9-10

Conclusion:

Would you like to call upon Christ to save from your sin? Don’t waste your time, you can be saved today. Maybe you have been in church all your life, and they have deceived you that you have to do something in order for you to have eternal life or get to Heaven.
Eternal life is a free gift from God. Believe in Jesus Christ that He is the One and only Savior.
It is not what you can do but what Jesus Christ did for you. He died for you so that you can be saved.
